Angus Eardley Prints

Angus Eardley

An astute businessman with a wonderful sense of humour, Angus started his personal collection with a single gift from his father; a satire on the fear of French invasion entitled John Bull guarding the toy-shop and dated 1803. His fondness for rare etchings, illustrations and prints grew along side his career as a young chemist. Encouraged by his wife Anne Eardley, they acquired a premise in London as a showcase for their ever growing collection. Angus enjoyed the artwork but found true spark connecting with the people who came in to Angus Eardely Prints. Angus retired in 2016 leaving the shop in the very capable hands of his son Stuart.

Stuart Eardley

Like his father, Stuart also started life with a passion for chemistry and attended Coventry Polytechnic to study. He frequented the Lanchester Gallery and cherished the bond he and Angus developed through their fascination with art and its ability to comment on the political. He helped organise exhibitions including a series of rarely screened short films with documentary maker Alan Van Wijgerden. Stuart took over Angus Eardley Prints in 2016.
